Tisha's Story
Tisha Nicholson's journey is deeply personal, rooted in her own experiences as a former foster child who aged out of the system. After graduating from High Point University with a degree in English and Secondary Education, she became a high school English teacher, driven by her passion for education and her desire to support others.

Recognizing the need for effective nonprofit leadership, Tisha returned to High Point University to pursue a master's degree in Non-profit Management and Leadership. Currently working towards her doctoral degree in the same field, she remains dedicated to expanding her knowledge and expertise.

Tisha's profound empathy and understanding was conceptualized through the creation of Fostering Matters, Inc. (FMINC), a beacon of hope for foster parents and the future of youth alike. Serving as the President, Founder, and CEO, Tisha's visionary leadership and unwavering advocacy drive the organization forward. Tisha assumes the role of Fostering Advocate Specialist, embodying the essence of compassion and resilience, and inspiring others to join her in the noble pursuit of fostering a brighter future for all.
