Our Story!
Fostering Matters, Inc. was started on August 26, 2021, as a purpose and a passion for foster parents. The organization has set out to be a place of support and encouragement to all foster parents. The founder of the organization Tisha Nicholson is a former foster child. After having some conversations with foster parents and lots of research, she saw the need being unmet in that of being there for foster parents and hearing their voices and concerns. After much time researching, thinking, and counsel from friends, other human services professionals, and her business coach, Fostering Matters, Inc. was born.

To strengthen resource parents knowledge and understanding of the foster care system by providing support and advocacy.
